Trent Tucker Features Poker In Charity Fundraiser
Monday, July 9th, 2007 National Basketball Association Pro Trent Tucker holds a poker tourney alongside his annual golf tournament for charity. Celebrities from the poker and basketball world are set to grace the event which will beenfit the Trent Tucker Youth Program.
The 8th Annual Trent Tucker Celebrity Golf Tournament is going to feature an added attraction this year, a game that has attracted Americans in hoards - poker.
The Trent Tucker Poker Tournament will be held at the Canterbury Card Club in Shakopee, Minn. on Sept. 8. Buy-in for the event is $2,500 and seating is limited. World Poker Stores will be present to assist.
Celebrities from the basketball and poker world are set to grace the event. Basketball stars Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Patrick Ewing will be present, along with poker pros Greg Raymer, Phil Hellmuth, Hoyt Corkins, Marcel Luske, Patrik Antonius, Liz Lieu, and Robert Williamson III.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Trent Tucker Youth Program, an organization that the basketball star founded to give back to his community.
Meanwhile, the golf event is to be held Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Rush Creek Golf Club, in Maple Grove. Entry fee for the event is $5,000 and teams of four will include at least one celebrity. Audience tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate.
Celebrity parties will be held after the tournaments at Karma in downtown Minneapolis, and will be open to the public.
